Finished first in Group B ahead of Germany. Defeated Australia 4-3 in the quarterfinals and drew host Canada 1-1 in the semifinal round, falling 3-4 in a penalty kick shootout. Drew Germany 1-1 and fell 3-4 in a penalty kick shootout in the final round, taking fourth place overall.
